Indomethacin Shows Effectiveness Against Coronavirus Without Herbs

A family medicine doctor has reported a small, anecdotal series of patients showing rapid symptom improvement using indomethacin against the covid19 coronavirus.

This physician reported five patients receiving it with rapid decrease in cough and body pain. He used a five day course of the drug without any accompanying herbal supplements.

Indomethacin is both anti-inflammatory and anti-coagulation and is a widely used NSAID that is classically used for gout and to close patent ductus. It should never be used in pregnant women and can cause significant side effects including kidney injury, justifying it’s availability through prescription only.
