Researchers develop AI-based intervention for kids with autism




Everyday social interactions with family members and peers can be challenging for children with autism spectrum disorder. Oftentimes, specialists use behavioral therapy to work with these children on communication skills and help them better interact with and respond to those around them.

In a new study published Wednesday in Science Robotics, researchers reported that robots, programmed using artificial intelligence, can also help children with ASD develop the social skills they need in order to communicate more effectively.
