TOXICOLOGY

Toxicology is the process of analyzing and understanding the effects of toxic chemical substances when injected into any living organism. It is the integration of chemistry, medicine, biology and pharmacology. Toxicology also involves the study of different diagnostic processes and treatments offered for health hazards that result due to toxic exposure.

Toxicology shows keen focus on the toxic dosage and its effects on living organisms. It further strives to gain deeper understanding of differences in effects of toxins based on the age, gender, environment, species type, and exposure level of living organism that is exposed to toxins. Experts on toxicology are commonly regarded as Toxicologists.
