Today, Hello Heart, the leading hypertension and heart health smartphone solution, announced a new collaboration with LifeScan, Inc. In the U.S. Lifescan, Inc. is the leading blood glucose monitoring company and OneTouch® brand products are recommended by more endocrinologists, primary care physicians, and pharmacists than any other brand.
Hello Heart is the largest hypertension management mobile platform in the US. The company has overall +90,000 patients enrolled in the platform and is working with dozens of Fortune 500 self-insured employers.
OneTouch manufactures highly reliable, compact blood glucose monitoring devices that fit into people’s pockets. The new collaboration enables patients to connect their OneTouch Verio Flex® meter to Hello Heart’s cutting-edge mobile technology.
Patients can now track blood glucose levels on their smartphone, and also get personalized explanations of their numbers and wellness tips tailored to their condition using Hello Heart’s AI algorithms anytime, anywhere.
Hello Heart’s app enables patients to manage their health from the privacy and convenience of their home, or on the go – wherever they are. The Hello Heart app can also detect when a patient is about to run out of OneTouch glucose test strips and will automatically send a new batch to their doorstep.
Hello Heart’s mission is to empower patients with chronic conditions to manage and improve their health using technology. “We started with heart health since it’s the biggest problem in healthcare, but we know many of our patients also have diabetes. You can now manage both conditions from one app and get a holistic view. We wanted to minimize the learning curve of new technology for patients, so we chose to connect with the number #1 selling OneTouch brand, which patients know, trust, and love” says Maayan Cohen, CEO of Hello Heart.
Forty-eight percent of Americans are living with diabetes or hypertension today, which are also the leading cost factors for employers and health plans. “If you want to move the needle on the biggest chronic conditions and generate lasting behavior change, you need to do more than just provide a monitor or a coaching session. You need to empower patients to understand their condition and generate meaningful positive engagement over time. The average American spends five hours a day on their phone today. We harness the “passion”? all of us have for our smartphones to create that patient engagement. Patients can now privately manage their hypertension and diabetes from the convenience of their home or on the go – we’re always with them,”. says Maayan Cohen, Hello Heart CEO.
