An Oklahoma Zookeeper Shot Five Tigers to ‘Make Room’ for More Tigers:

“Joe Exotic” has been charged on 21 counts, 19 of which pertain to wildlife crime. He is charged with selling tiger cubs and killing five tigers, in violation of the Endangered Species Act and Lacey Act. While he was arrested in September, the update is that he has admitted to killing the tigers, but said that it was because they were suffering.

Joseph Maldonado-Passage talks about his dislike for the nonprofit Big Cat Rescue on his Youtube channel. Big Cat Rescue had criticized Maldonado-Passage as abusive, and he responded with threatening the CEO of Big Cat Rescue, Carole Baskin. He was arrested on two counts of murder-for-hire, including an alleged attempt to kill Baskin.
